Dear Relatives,
Something powerful is here for Native youth across California. 🌱
Introducing CORE: Coalition of Organizers Rooted in Empowerment—a 10-month statewide cohort for American Indian and Alaska Native youth ages 18–25 – who want to grow their leadership, build community, and turn what they care about into action.
CORE is more than a training. It’s a journey rooted in relationships, healing, joy, and organizing. Youth will build real organizing skills, connect with Native youth and mentors from across California, learn from our communities’ organizing history and legacy, and work together to build and run their own campaign.
No organizing experience is required. We’re looking for young people who are curious, community-minded, ready to show up, and willing to grow.
Applications open Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PDT. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 14, 2026. Find the application form here.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about CORE on social media, what youth will experience, and the Native youth who are helping to build this growing movement. Please share this post with a California-based Native youth you know!
Come learn. Come connect. Come organize. Come build with us.
In community,
California Native Vote Project team
